Today we are publishing the second article about the teachers in the project Learn Russian in the EU. This time we talked to a Daugavpils University lecturer Galina Pitkevich.
What do the majority of students expect of a study programme? To learn the language, to experience the culture and to make new friends. Staying with a Russian-speaking host family will help to achieve these three purposes. Why? Let’s discuss it!
What kind of accent do people in Daugavpils have? To put it in a nutshell, people in Daugavpils speak Russian without any accent. Why have we come to this conclusion? Let’s look into it together.
We would like to tell you about our Russian language teachers, therefore we start publishing articles about them. You will know where our teachers studied and what they do in the project Learn Russian in the EU.
Lots of study programmes of “Learn Russian in the European Union” project include a broad range of excursions and field trips. On Saturdays we usually go on excursions to significant historical and cultural centres in our region such as Aglona, Rundale Palace, medieval castles in Sigulda, Riga, Jurmala, the capital of Lithuania Vilnius, etc.
