  • Payments

    We upload invoices in the student account. A student can pay wit card using the student account or make a wire transfer from a bank account.

  • Lesson schedule

    The schedule for the upcoming week is prepared in the end of the previous week and is made available through the student account.

  • Russian language placement test

    If you are an absolute beginner, the placement test is not required.

    After submitting the registration form, please complete the Russian language placement test in the student account in order to provide our teachers information on your actual skills level.

    The placement test requires 30 minutes to complete.

  • Our teachers

    All our teachers are passionate, experienced and knowledgeable native Russian language speakers. They possess Master or PhD degree in the Russian language pedagogy, Russian linguistics, or Russian literature. Many our language teachers are fluent English speakers.

    We employ Daugavpils University professors, who have worked with numerous international students on Learn Russian in the EU study abroad programs.

  • Is it difficult to obtain a visa?

    Latvia is a member of the Schengen Agreement. Citizens of the European Union, the United States, Great Britain, and many other countries do not need a visa to arrive in Latvia.

    Students from the USA can stay in Latvia for a period of 180 days.

    If required, for semester abroad students, the program arranges a long stay (D type) visa while in Daugavpils.

  • Do you provide group courses?

    We provide group programs for universities, agencies, companies, and other institutional customers seeking a training solution for their students or employees.

    Undergraduate students on winter/summer/semester/academic year study abroad programs also may study in groups. This depends on course enrollment.

  • How I should plan my travel?

    We recommend arriving in Riga International Airport (RIX) not later than one day prior the program start day. Round-trip airport transfers RIX-Daugavpils is included into the semester abroad program tuition fee.

    Please let us know your arrival details timely.

  • Is insurance provided?

    Semester abroad programs include a local health and accidents insurance. This insurance is very convenient when dealing with minor health issues (consultations with a specialist, infection, trauma, tests, hospital service).

    Learn Russian in the EU provides 24/7 in-country support throughout the program.

    Quite often, students also bring their own insurance.
